How about a hot dog party?

I swear this isn’t nearly as dirty as it sounds.

I’m going through some photos and realized I never mentioned my going-away/graduation party from last summer. It was held just a few days before I left to move across the country, so things were a bit hectic.

My mom wanted to do something that would be fairly easy but still kind of cool. Since it was my party (and I’ll cry if I want to,) I came up with the idea of doing a hot dog bar.

We bought regular hot dogs and a variety of sausages from Rolf’s in Albany, as well as a package of tofu pups.

┬áThe rest was simple — a number of condiments, from different mustards to krauts to relishes, chopped onions, pickled jalapenos and a variety of other kinds. We also made sure to have several different types of buns, including Udi’s gluten-free ones. I was happy with how it came out. It was very simple but it added a little twist to your standard barbecue fare by offering a bunch of different toppings to DIY the perfect ‘dog.
