In honor of the return of school days, and my own return to needing a daily lunch, I’m pulling up an oldie but a goodie: Saveur magazine’s taste test of gluten-free sandwich breads.

I agree with their preference for Udi’s, although I also like the similarly named Rudi’s. My least favorites are any of the ones that come in hermetically sealed packages with packets of silica gel beads tucked inside. It’s like eating pieces of stale foam.
