The bareback basic betty at Betty’s Burgers

We’re fortunate enough to have several cool little places within a mere two blocks from us. Not only do we have the awesome Seabright Brewery, which we’ve visited three times in the less-than-a-week since we got here, but we also have Betty Burgers.¬†

Betty’s is a pretty basic joint — burgers, fries, onion rings, shakes and just a few other items.¬†¬†Burgers are made with hormone-free, antibiotic free, and everything is fresh and made to order. It also has a rad pin-up girl theme, which I totally dug.

I’m also always happy when I see a place already has a lettuce-wrapped burger option on the menu because it means less annoying explanation needed on my end. Any of the burgers can be ordered “bareback,” meaning it comes sans bun and wrapped nicely in lettuce. Sweet! Our food was good, and at $4.95 for a basic Betty burger, it was totally affordable.

Hi, I can’t find anywhere why you moved to Santa Cruz. Job? School? Do tell! I always enjoyed your AOA posts.
